What goes in, and why

Plants first. Lab-made ingredients when they work better. Nothing added for scent, and every ingredient listed with where it comes from.

Our rule

If it does not help your skin, it stays out.

Our formulator, Dr. Elena Ruiz, spent twelve years in product development before starting Lumen in 2019. Every formula starts with the skin problem, then the fewest ingredients that solve it.

Five things you will not find

  • Fragrance
  • Essential oils
  • Drying alcohol
  • Sulfates
  • Mineral oil
