The practice.
Two groups that work as one. The business lawyers know your estate plan. The estate lawyers know your company. Every matter starts with a written scope and a fee you see before work begins.
Business law
For owners at every stage, from the first filing with the Secretary of State to the closing table when you sell.

Formation
Entity choice, filing, operating agreements and bylaws that cover what happens when an owner leaves, dies or wants out.
Contracts
Customer terms, supplier agreements, commercial leases and NDAs written in plain English and built for North Carolina courts.
Buying and selling
Letters of intent, due diligence, purchase agreements, earnouts and closing. We work alongside your accountant and broker.
Succession
Buy-sell agreements, key-person planning and a written path for the next generation or a key employee to take over.
Financing
Bank loans, investor notes and small raises from friends and family, with the securities paperwork done right.
Outside general counsel
A monthly retainer for companies that need a lawyer on call without hiring one: contract review, employment questions, disputes.
Estate planning
A plan that says who inherits, who decides if you cannot, who raises your children, and how your family avoids months in probate.

Wills
Who inherits, who serves as executor, and who becomes guardian of minor children. Signed with the witnesses and notary North Carolina requires.
Revocable living trusts
Keeps assets you move into it out of probate and gives your family a private, faster way to settle things.
Powers of attorney
A financial power of attorney and a health care power of attorney, so someone you trust can act if you cannot.
Business succession
Plans that match your company documents, so your shares pass the way your partners expect.
Estate administration
Guiding executors and trustees through the Clerk of Superior Court, creditor notices, inventories and final accounts.
Plan reviews
A fixed-fee review of an existing plan after a marriage, a move, a new child or a business sale.
The planning checkup
Life changes faster than documents. Tick anything that applies to you, and the checkup lists what to review.
