Do I need an account to see a price?
No. Prices update live on every page. You only share an email when you decide to buy.
Which states do you cover?
Renters insurance is available in 38 states and pet insurance in all 50. Enter your ZIP code at checkout to confirm.
How fast does coverage start?
Renters coverage can start at 12:01 AM the next day. Pet accident coverage starts after 2 days and illness coverage after 14.

What does "replacement cost" mean?
We pay what it costs to buy a new version today, not what your used item was worth. Plus and Max plans include it.
Is my stuff covered when I travel?
Yes. Your belongings are covered anywhere in the world, up to your policy limits.
Does my landlord need to be listed?
Many leases ask for it. Add your landlord as an interested party in two taps, at no cost.
Pet
Is there an age limit?
Pets can join from 8 weeks old. There is no upper age limit to join or to stay.
Do you cover hereditary conditions?
Yes, as long as signs did not appear before coverage started or during a waiting period.
Can you pay my vet directly?
Yes, for bills over $500 when your vet agrees. Otherwise we reimburse you by direct deposit.
Claims
How do I file a claim?
Use the claim form or the app. Add photos and receipts, and most claims get a decision the same day.
Will a claim raise my price?
Pet claims never raise your price. Renters prices can change at renewal after several claims in a short time.
Billing
Can I pay yearly?
Yes. Paying for the year up front saves 8%.
How do I cancel?
In the app or by phone, any time, with no cancellation fee.
