Hardness is a nuisance, not a health concern. It builds scale and leaves spots. Your water utility publishes a yearly report with the full picture.
Does a softener make water salty?
A softener adds a small amount of sodium. If you limit salt, we can install a drinking water tap that bypasses it or use a potassium-based system.
How often do filters need changing?
Whole-home carbon filters last 3 to 5 years. Reverse osmosis filters need a swap once a year. Care plan members get a reminder.
